Quelle: Team Associated B7 and B7D - Beitrag #711 - rctech.netThe correct answer is that the B7 Differential housing IS brand new. And it IS different to that of the B6. Specifically because the case size has been increased in volume, and the internal format revised in order to run the same spider gears as the B74.2 gear diffs, so that things like the Low Tooth Count Polymer Gears from the B74.2 can be dropped into the B7 gear diff, which could not be done with the previous B6 differential design.
I believe where Dustin's confusion came from, is that the outdrives on the B7 gear differential are different from those on the B74.2 gear differentials. So you can not use B74.2 outdrives, say for a puck system, on the B7 gear differential, because they wont fit. And he then interpreted that as "The outdrives are different". A bit of information overload mixed with lack of technical understand of the platform, leading to misinformation. Honestly, that live stream VoD should probably be removed, because several things he said were off base.
