Hmmm, I thought this problem was solved... What is your remote configuration? For me it's working fine with Flysky FS-i6X and PWM as well as for Micro RC and SBUS.

Your Espressif ESP32 board version is v1.03? This is very important.
I am running an Flysky FS-i6 with updated firmware to 10 Channels on iBus.

I was running on V1.04 all along as per the instructions, will take to V1.03 now and test later.

Thank you,

Frikkie

I don't get it. I just tested with IBUS and it works just fine with wireless trailer enabled. Both with real 3 TAMIYA speed and simulated 3 speed shifting.

The upper ESP is the trailer, ignore the other wires and the display. What is your vehicle profile?

BTW: I tested with Arduino IDE and VS Code

Then I do not know what I am doing wrong…will check again tomorrow. But as said before, with wireless trailer not selected everything works….make only that one change to select the wireless trailer, the truck does not rev up….

Also tried a Flysky FS-i6S with SBUS...same result...
Currently, I really don't have a solution. I also had this issue and then reworked the code before I released v8.3. Afterwards it worked fine for me and it still does. I tested with different boards and different remote systems. Is your CPU clock set to 240MHz? Did you download the entire v8.3 & 8.4 repository as a zip or just some files?

Does anyone else have this issue?

I will check the clock speed. I always download the entire zip file and then extract. I have some new ESP32’s coming tomorrow….will test with them. I have 3 radios to test with…hacked Flysky FS-i6 on iBus, Flysky FS-i6S on Sbus and the FRsky X20S on Sbus….
What version of Arduino IDE do you use?

I was on 1.8.13 until this week. 1.8.16 works as well. VS Code works fine as well. My OS is macOS Monterey 12.0.1 on a Mac mini M1. A couple of weeks ago, I tested on our son's Windows 10 laptop with VS Code and it worked as well, but this was before v8.3. Are your ESP32 boards all from the same seller?
I am now trying to figure out VS Code...all new to me.

The ESP's are from different suppliers, I have tried 2 different ones, I still have on sealed in the bag that I also want to try.

I have now uninstalled both version of Arduino and reloaded 1.8.16. Still have the same issue on i6 and iBus. Will keep on trying till I get this right!!!!! Your system is to good to give up on!!! :)

Hello Frikkie,
i used first time VS Code (Windows 10). Until that time i never used this. After some tests i was succesful and happy. It is easier than Arduino ide i think. I open the ESP32 Sound & Light folder with VS like Martin told and it works. You only have set changes like you want and need ,if you read the comments correct ( looks like i not read correct the first times) it works.
The two things for the wireless Trailer light are ordered. Now i am waiting.
Kindly regards
Norbert
